Plant Sale Area
An area in the garden between the garden shed and the workbench has been set up for a "plant sale" area. The plants are provided by members of the garden or given to the garden by donors from the college or community. For a small donation anyone can take one of the plants from the plant sale area home with them. Just drop the donation into the donation box located on the back of the workbench. Money is removed daily. Funds from donations are used to maintain the garden and purchase supplies.

Events and Activities
The destructive forces of hurricane Ike were felt even in the community garden. All structures in the garden were either knocked down from the force of the wind or lifted out of the ground and twisted out of shape. Thanks to the LSC-CyFair facilities department, the structures were uprighted and put back in place.
Boy Scout Troop 658 spent all day Saturday, September 27, 2008 making repairs. They were responsible for most of the structures in the garden through Eagle Scout projects. Many thanks goes out to all who assisted in the cleanup and repairs.
In addition, the eighth Eagle Scout project in the garden was completed by Frank Moore. His project is another important addition to the garden which provides much needed seating in the shade arbor (built by Eagle Scout Daniel Tran). As part of his project he also included a work table with side extensions.
