Welcome to the Department of Advanced Technology (DAT) at Lone Star College–CyFair. Here you will find information on how our programs can help prepare you for the workforce of the 21st century.
Programs within the DAT are Electronics Technology, Engineering Design Graphics Technology (EDGT), Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT), Machining Technology and Welding Technology. Certificate programs are available in Electronics, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Operator/Drafting, Manual & Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Machining, and Welding. Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees are offered in Computer Engineering Technology (CET), Pre-Engineered Metal Building Drafting & Design, Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT), and Welding Technology. Courses required for certificate and degree completion are offered at our Barker-Cypress Campus. Several courses within EDGT program can also be taken at the Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center.
