Allied Health Professionals
Allied Health Continuing Education offerings are designed to help practicing health care professionals meet their continuing education licensure requirements and to provide opportunities for networking with local health care providers.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
This course prepares the students as entry level nursing assistants to function competently and safely in a health care or a long term care facility.
MRI and CT CertificatesThe MRI and CT certificate programs are short programs for licensed radiographers who are interested in taking the ARRT board exams and receiving post primary certifications in MRI and CT. Applicants must be ARRT certified radiographers to be eligible for the programs.
Massage Therapy
Learn business practices and professional standards as well as health and hygiene in massage and more in less than a year!
Medication Aide Program
This comprehensive program is designed for individuals who wish to work directly with patients in state approved Long-Term Care or Assisted Living Facilities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Basic review of body systems and medication effect on each system are covered, as well as medical terminology, infection control and medication classifications.
Teacher Alternative Certification Program (TACP)
The purpose of the alternative certification program is to provide training for pre-service teachers, aid individuals who want to earn a teaching certification and develop high quality educators.
Dispute Resolution Institute
DRI provides mediation training and information on free mediation services to the community through the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.
