The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of a national network of more than 1,400 business development centers nationwide. Lone Star College System SBDC is a member of the University of Houston SBDC Network and the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC). The SBDC program is available throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Somoa.

Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center has its main office at the Lone Star College System System Office in The Woodlands. The Center has been providing free one-on-one consulting services and a wide range of seminars to area small businesses since 1985. Other SBDC offices are located at the Cy-Fair, North Harris and Lone Star College–Tomballs.
