Is there a cost for dual credit?

Effective fall 2004, 50% of in-district tuition costs will be waived for dual credit students. Students are responsible for all of the fees for their courses.

Note: Students may need to pay for a lab fee & purchase some textbooks not available at their high school. Additional fees will be charged if a student’s classification status is international or out of state. Limited financial assistance may be available based on financial need.

An in-district resident is a Texas resident of 12 months prior to date of registration and who resides and pays taxes in the Lone Star College System (School districts of Aldine, Conroe, Cypress-Fairbanks, Humble, Klein, Magnolia, New Caney, Splendora, Spring, Tomball and Willis).

Confirm transferability of dual credit with the institution you plan to attend.
